In memory of Sandra “Sandy” Chandler
On May 23, 2022, we lost a longtime member of the NAGE family, Sandy Chandler. Sandy was the office manager in the NAGE Cromwell office for 35 years, up until her retirement in 2012. She is remembered in high regard by all who knew her, and all who had the opportunity to work alongside her.
The license plate on her car said it all: IBPO. Sandy was fiercely committed to NAGE and our IBPO members in CT. If it was an IBPO issue, it was the most important thing on her plate. Both her son and nephew became IBPO members during their careers, a great point of pride for her.
Sandy was also a dedicated public servant, serving on the Rocky Hill Democratic Town Committee for over 50 years. You were not going to get nominated to the committee unless Sandy gave her stamp of approval!
Her dedication and commitment to NAGE and her community will never be forgotten.
