Vacation Leave Max Caps Extended

Throughout the course of this pandemic, NAGE has fought to ensure that the health and safety of our members is a primary consideration in the Courts’ operational decisions, and we are fortunate that Court Administration has been a willing partner in this work. Recently,  NAGE local leaders for Trial Court members have been strongly advocating to protect vacation leave balances for employees unable to access their vacation leave due to pandemic limitations.

We are pleased to inform you that Trial Court leadership has listened to our concerns, and has just announced that they will extend the use or lose date for vacation balances through the end of December 2021! In addition, the Trial Court will provide the opportunity for eligible employees to cash out as many as 5 days of vacation leave prior to March 1, 2021. The Trail Court announcement can be found HERE.

This action is a reflection of the Trial Court Administration’s appreciation for all you have done over the course of this pandemic. We look forward to a continued partnership with the Trial Court leadership in addressing these challenges as we move forward.
