Union and Members Succeed in Closing Unsafe Courthouse

Today the Union, in conjunction with members in Malden District Court, successfully convinced the Trial Court to close down the courthouse until repairs to the building are completed (estimated Spring 2020).

The Union became aware of the situation just seven days ago, and in that time have successfully pressured the TC to shut the building down and move the business of the court to a safe, healthy location.

The speed at which this has happened is a testament to NAGE, and most importantly to the dedicated employees at Malden District Court.
Thanks should also go out to Trial Court management for acting so swiftly and decisively in response to the concerns of the Union. The Union, through email to the Administration, urged the Trial Court to close Malden District Court just this past Tuesday. After lengthy discussions over the past few days, our members were informed today of the court closure.

Excellent work to all involved!
