Supreme Court Ruling on Janus vs AFSCME

On Wednesday, June 27, 2018, the Supreme Court made a ruling on the Janus vs. AFSCME case that was unfavorable for our nation's labor unions.
The following is a statement from IAEP and NAGE EMS National Director Philip Petit on the ruling:
"This decision will make us work harder, but it is a welcome opportunity to show the world as a whole what we’ve always known: the value of union membership and the power of workers uniting towards a common goal.
I choose to look at this decision as an opportunity for labor to step into the future and continue evolving into the force our country needs now more than ever.  NAGE is prepared to face these fights together, and I am excited for our future as we continue to focus on protecting our members and advancing their goals in the workplace. "
