Submit your testimony for MA COVID Bills

On Wednesday, July 21, the Joint Committee on Public Service will hear testimony on a number of bills related to COVID-19 service, including:
 
  • House Bill 2808 – which would provide a 3 year retirement credit to all employees who continued to report to a worksite outside of their personal residence during the COVID-19 emergency.
  • House Bill 2593 – which would provide hazard pay or comp-time to employees who continued to report to a worksite outside of their personal residence during the COVID-19 emergency.
 
NAGE strongly encourages any member who is interested in these bills to submit testimony to the Public Service Committee. Written or pre-recorded video testimony is strongly encouraged, and may be submitted to the Committee via email to Jessica.Foley@mahouse.govPlease indicate the bill number in the subject of the email. The Committee will accept written testimony through Wednesday, July 28 at 5:00pm.
