President Obama Issues Raise to All Federal Employees

On December 8, 2016, President Barack Obama issued a revised alternative plan for locality pay which gives pay increases to General Schedule civilian Federal employees in January 2017. The figure includes a 1 percent base increase and a 1.1 percent locality bump.  Here at NAGE/IBPO, we know that a 2.1 percent salary increase does not keep up with the current cost of living as it is on a constant rise. Our hardworking members deserve a lot more in the form of compensation after enduring sequestration which resulted in multiple years of pay freezes and furloughs. NAGE/IBPO will continue to fight every day for salary increases for our well deserving members.
