Paramedic Leo Murphy Authors Book on Life in EMS

Across the country, IAEP members are not only lifesaving first responders but contribute to our communities off duty through fundraising for local charities and community activism. But, in the case of IAEP Local 84 Vice President, Leo Murphy, his contributions to EMS lie between pen and paper. Murphy has recently taken his voice to the printing press and published a book titled IN SERVICE, a reflection on a lifelong career in emergency response.

Murphy's career as a first responder has been one of effectual service and activism. As a paramedic, Murphy has served upwards of 40 years and has been with Local 84 since its organization. Paramedic Murphy’s presence within his local has been of great significance as he has served in every union office position available.

“He’s truly something special in EMS,” said IAEP National Director Philip Petit.

Please join us in congratulating Paramedic Murphy on his accomplishments and contributions to EMS and his community both on and off duty!

You can find Leo Murphy’s book titled IN SERVICE on Amazon and can keep up with all the incredible work IAEP members do both on and off duty at Facebook.com/theIAEP and IAEP.org.
