National EMS Week - Beyond the Call

The International Association of EMTs and Paramedics is proud to serve and support thousands of EMS professionals day-in and day-out.  This week we join the rest of the country in recognizing the hard work, sacrifice, and crucial service provided by our members during the 45th annual National EMS Week 2019.

“Every year during this week we recognize and thank our members for their hard work, as well as their families for the sacrifices they must make to support their loved ones as they provide this important and integral service to us all,” said IAEP / NAGE EMS National President David J. Holway.  “NAGE is always proud to stand with and fight on behalf of our life saving professionals – and we are reminded this year during National EMS Week how much of ourselves our members must give to their profession.”

National EMS Week 2019 will continue until May 25 with events taking place all across the country.  This year’s theme – “Beyond the Call” – reminds us all that these professionals go far beyond the call of duty every day in helping those that they serve. The theme also reminds us of the toll that the job can take on these professionals, and how the stress they face will often affect their life outside the job.

Whether a local is working to ratify a new contract, supporting union brothers and sisters at a picket, or organizing a fundraiser for a member in need with the aid of NAGE Charities, we see what you can achieve by standing in solidarity.
