NAGE IAEP Member Involved in Fatal Ambulance Accident

EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. – EMT and NAGE IAEP member Hinai Patel was involved in a fatal car crash while on duty on Saturday July 25, 2015. Patel and her colleague Mark Seube were driving with their lights and sirens on and were hit by a Toyota Prius while in route to a call just a mile away. Patel, who was only 22 years old was working her last shift as an EMT before attending medical school full time. Lt. Kevin F. Zebro of the East Brunswick, New Jersey Police Department said, "They came through the intersection and were struck by another vehicle, which caused their vehicle to actually spin around and then land on its passenger side and skid across the roadway.” Patel was pronounced dead at the scene and Seube was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and we are keeping Hinai in our prayers. For more information please read the article below.
