NAGE EMS Among First Responders at Deadly Fire

Last week, members of NAGE EMS Local 510 were among first responders on scene providing emergency care and transportation for patients injured during a devastating warehouse fire in Oakland, California. The fire, which moved quickly through the building on Friday night, December 2, 2016, reportedly claimed the lives of 36 people and injured others.
 
As emergency responders continue to work through the debris, you can help provide support for the survivors, victims’ families, and first responders through the fundraising campaigns listed below:
  • An Oakland Fire Relief Fund has been organized on YouCaring.com by the Oakland Athletics. Donate here.
  • The Grey Area Foundation for the Arts states that they are working with the Oakland Mayor’s Office, and the Red Cross, to reach their fundraising goal of $500,000 for victims and survivors of the fire. Donate here.
The members of Local 510 are employed by Paramedics Plus and provide emergency medical care to the more than 1.5 million residents of Alameda County. NAGE EMS wishes to recognize the first responders on scene that night for their hard work and commitment to their community.
