MassDOT Helps in MA Tornado Aftermath

In the wake of the July 2019 tornadoes that touched down in Cape Cod, MassDOT Unit 3 District #3, 4, 5 & 6 members are working to clean up the damage.  Working alongside DOT, DOC, DCR fire crews, the National Guard, State and Local Police, MEMA, local DPW and inmate crews, our MassDOT members are setting the Cape back to rights.

The three reported tornadoes touched down on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.  Touching down in Yarmouth and Harwhich, the high winds caused significant damage.  Most notable, the roof was ripped off the Cape Sands Inn in West Yarmouth.
Check out the photos below of our members hard at work, cleaning up the communities that were damaged by the storm.
