IAEP Grieves Loss of Knoxville Paramedic

The IAEP mourns the loss of one of its longest working and dedicated paramedics, Local R5-421 member Harold "Hal" Thompson.
Paramedic Thompson passed away while hiking with family on Friday evening in East Tennessee. 
Throughout his career in EMS, Paramedic Thompson worked in both Orlando and Knoxville markets, and was known for his active role within Local R5-421. 
As written in a Facebook post by Local R5-421, Paramedic Thompson “was an amazing friend, brother, father, co-worker and provider. He was a respected mentor and loved by all the great men and women who know him throughout his 40 years of EMS service.”
Paramedic Thompson’s family will receive friends 5:00PM – 7:00PM, Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Bridges Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Terry Bridges officiating. Arrangements by Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, 865-523-4999.
