GIC Webinars for August

The GIC has just announced the schedule of webinars, put on by Mass4YOU, for the month of August.  There are a broad range of topics, descriptions below. 

The webinars are available to all GIC-eligible members in our State and Trial Court divisions! 
 
Learn Something New (live)
 While many of us continue to work from home, wear masks, and socially distance, this “new normal” remains anything but. Mass4You, our EAP program, is offering a number of live webinars presented by Mass4You EAP Specialist and licensed counselor, Adam Mintz to help you get through this time.
 
 Navigating Uncertainty; Coping and Thriving in a Pandemic. Thursday, Aug 6 @ 10:00-11:00 am
This Mass4You training explores some of the most common reactions to workplace uncertainty and offers several strategies for surviving and thriving during this unprecedented time. While the future may be uncertain, our reactions and responses to these circumstances don’t have to be.
 
Best Practices for Working Remotely. Tuesday, Aug 11 @ 2:00 – 3:00 pm
This course addresses strategies for communication, productivity and time management within the context of working from home. Discussion will include how to work around children, manage distractions and cope with some of the unique emotional pressures of working away from the office.
 
Embracing Happiness; Leveraging Positivity During Difficult Times. Tuesday, Aug 18 @ 11:00 – 12:00 pm.
This course explores some of the research and findings related to positive psychology and offers some proven strategies for bringing a greater sense of fulfillment and happiness into your life, even during a pandemic.
 
Still Coping with Covid – A Guided Conversation Series. Thursday, Aug 20 @ 10:00-11:00 am
Hosted by Adam Mintz, this session is intended to be an open-ended, two-way discussion with opportunities to ask questions, share concerns, and learn tips for coping during these challenging and uncertain times.
 
Boosting Energy Naturally Thursday, Aug 20 @ 2:00-3:00 pm
This webinar looks at strategies to increase energy and perk up life, naturally. Participants will gain useful information regarding healthy eating practices, learn which snacks to reach for when a boost is needed and other tips to improve energy and vitality.
