First Responders Raise Funds for EMT

Union members and AMR first responders in Akron, Ohio, recently raised $500 in funds for 19-year-old EMT Mitchell Carver, who went into sudden cardiac arrest last year. The EMS professionals in Carver’s unit, IAEP Local 43, stepped in to support their coworker. Fellow union members had t-shirts made, which read “Mitchell Strong” and presented the funds raised from selling the shirts to Carver and his family for medical bills.

The union wishes EMT Mitchell Carver success in his recover and future career, and wishes to recognize members of Local 43 for their solidarity and dedication.
