Fayetteville EMT Wins Job Back

An EMT was recently reinstated after a wrongful termination from the Fayetteville Fire Department.  The grievant was terminated due to “unprofessional actions” but due to the diligent work of Attorneys Douglas Hall and Tom Hatfield, he was reinstated.

The case was brought to arbitration, which can be a lengthy process, but “due to patience, and the hard working effort of the IAEP, the grievant was able to go back to work with the penalty of a five day suspension,” stated Hall.  “In this case, the severity of the discipline was disproportionate to the infraction, and we are happy to see the grievant rightfully reinstated in his workplace.”
