Envision Weighs Options for Future of AMR

On Tuesday, March 28, Envision Healthcare announced its intention to conduct a strategic review of its business to consider options for the future of AMR/Rural Metro. The NAGE/IAEP wants to ensure that you know all the latest details regarding how this may affect your future with AMR/Rural Metro.
Will this affect my workplace?
There will be no immediate changes to your management or working conditions. As stated in an announcement by AMR CEO Ted Van Horne, “Any organizational changes will also require local, state, and federal approval.” You should not see any changes in your day-to-day operations. If you do see changes in your workplace, be sure to reach out to your local union representative.
When will I find out more?
It could take Envision Healthcare several months or more to complete this review and arrive at any decisions. The IAEP / NAGE EMS will continue to update our members as we get more information regarding this review. We will work to keep you informed of any news regarding the results or potential outcomes as more information becomes available.
