Dedication of the Richard L. Barry, Jr. Law Library

On Friday, September 28, 2018, the family, friends and colleagues of the late Richard L. Barry, Jr. gathered together at NAGE headquarters to honor the life and influence of the former NAGE General Counsel.
Rick worked at NAGE for 18 years, and his legacy will always be remembered.  At the dedication ceremony, touching words were said by Rick's wife, Mary and his son, Michael.  Stories of his amazing life were told by NAGE National President and Rick's great friend, David J. Holway, along with stories from attorney  Joe Monahan and former Massachusetts Speaker of the House Charles Flaherty.  National Executive Board Member Susie McLean-Zady read a touching tribute to Rick, and General Counsel Gina Lightfoot Walker spoke of all the advice Rick gave her throughout her career with NAGE.

Many of Rick's family members and friends were able to attend the dedication ceremony, and all enjoyed the newly re-finished Law Library.  We would like to thank everyone who was able to take the time to be there for the dedication, and to celebrate the legacy of Richard L. Barry, Jr.
