DC Government is OPEN

Although a Federal shutdown has occured, the District of Columbia government will remain open to serve District residents, businesses, and visitors.  All District government employees are expected to report to work on time and in accordance with your regular work schedule.

No District employees will be furloughed as a result of a federal shutdown. Programs that receive federal funding should continue operations - please direct any specific concerns regarding federal funding to your Director, who will work with the District Office of Budget and Performance Management to ensure that local funds are made available, as needed.

Thank you for all you do and the services you provide to the District's residents and visitors.
