Contracts Ratified in Minnesota, Ohio

IAEP members in Minnesota and Ohio have ratified new contracts.

Members of IAEP Local R7-350 ratified a successor agreement with Firstlight Healthcare in Mora, Minnesota. The contract features two years of pay increases and contract language improvements concerning holdovers, transfers, PTO and drug policy, and layoff and recall procedures.
The EMS professionals at Firstlight Healthcare serve the area in and around Mora. Mora has a population of about 3,500 people, but it also sits at the junction of two state highways crisscrossing the state.
Hats off to the bargaining team, with National Representative Brett Hopper, Chief Negotiator Scott Schaub, Local R7-350 President Ted Tredeau, and Local R7-350 Vice President Jamie High.

Over in Morrow County, Ohio, the EMTs and paramedics in IAEP Local R7-059 have ratified their first contract with the IAEP. The members working for the Morrow County Firefighters provide advanced life support 9-1-1 service to about 35,000 residents of the county, which is about 30 miles north of Columbus.
In only two bargaining sessions, the team reached a deal to include additional paid holiday time, comp time, and decreased mandates for working holidays.

Congratulations to the bargaining team, with John Edwards, Robert Walker, and Jacob Shaw.
