Casino/Racetrack EMS Reach New Contract

(North Randall, Ohio) – A new contract was recently ratified by IAEP Local R7-077 in North Randall, Ohio. The EMS professionals, stationed at JACK Thistledown Racino on the outskirts of Cleveland, provide BLS services to patrons, staff, and jockeys at the entertainment venue which has a horse racetrack and casino.

The negotiation team, which included IAEP Chief Negotiator Richard Anderson, Local President Sean Fischbach, Christina Cahoon, and National Representative Ken Skaggs, made swift work of ratifying the successor contract after only two bargaining sessions at the table.

The new deal guarantees significant wage adjustments over the life of the 5-year contract. In addition, numerous workplace benefit improvements were reached, such as a new allowance for work gear and improved availability in counseling and rehabilitation for the EMS professionals.

Congratulations to union leaders and members of Local R7-077 on reaching a new contract!
