Alert Ambulance Votes to Join IAEP

Last week, by a margin of over 4-1, a group of EMS professionals from Western Massachusetts voted to join the IAEP.

The first responders, employed by Alert Ambulance, provide a wide variety of emergency medical services to areas such as Springfield, Chicopee, and North Hampton, Massachusetts.

IAEP National Representatives John Rossi and Joe Pallotta worked alongside the over 100 EMS professionals and management team, to ensure the dedicated first responders would receive the union representation they deserve.

“The organizing process couldn’t have gone better,” said Jeremy Morris, a paramedic for Alert Ambulance, who noted that it was not only thanks to the resources and backing provided by the IAEP, but the diligent efforts of his coworkers and the support of management that streamlined the process.

Union leaders are excited for the group to gain access to resources available to union members and to get started on their work at the bargaining table. “We’re looking forward to continuing our work with Alert Ambulance and its committed EMS professionals. We’re eager to begin the negotiation process for a fair workplace contract,” said Phil Petit, National Director for the IAEP.

Please join us in congratulating the EMS professionals of Alert Ambulance, and welcoming them to the IAEP family!
